Wagaya combines two of my great loves; Japanese food and ordering things through a touch screen. Private parking in front and metered parking on King St. Once, during dinner and once, 10 minutes before closing. And now the mens toilets; absolutely disgusting. Be warned though if your overly eager fingers traipse across the screen, the servings are quite small and you may end up with a much larger bill than planned. 19 other reviews that are not currently recommended, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}26, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}67, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}24, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}49, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}629, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}30, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}41, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}47, .css-12anxc3{width:24px;height:24px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle;position:relative;overflow:hidden;top:-0.1em;fill:currentColor;}.css-12anxc3::before{position:absolute;display:block;left:0;}.css-12anxc3::after{content:'';display:block;position:absolute;left:0;right:0;top:0;bottom:0;}.css-12anxc3 svg{position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;fill:inherit;display:block;left:0;top:0;right:0;bottom:0;}68. An equally good one here meets Japan's standards, and it's Wagaya in Moiliili. The literal meaning of Wagaya is "our home." Service was great as well and it looks like this place is popping even during covid! At my advanced age, I just am not willing to give up one of my limited remaining hours on Earth to eat this ramen. Delivery & Pickup Options - 140 reviews of Wagaya - Emory Village "favorite Japanes food! eel rice bowl recommend, very soft and delicate taste. It tasted as great as it appeared! We come here fairly often and always have a great time. The ordering process was nice and easy, the fact that it is self ordering from the room on a screen makes ordering fast and easy and you can really take your time ordering. The sushi was nice and fresh and the chicken dishes were flavoursome, the portions were pretty small but the prices weren't terribly expensive, with the in room ordering it made it way to easy to order, especially in a bigger room where there is 2 screens to order! We arrived 30 minutes after the 'restaurant' opened and they were filthy one cubicle out of three working and it was filth. A QR code allows guests to scan for the menu to appear on their smart phone. The staff all wear masks. We ordered a bevy of dishes, the highlights being the soft shell crab and the sushian roulette (6 pieces of sushi, 1 packed with wasabi).Despite the touch screen eliminating almost all need for human interaction the service was still a little poor with staff trying to kick us out only an hour after we got there, claiming it was a condition of our booking. My only tip would be to keep an eye on how much you are ordering, it is really easy to go overboard. Once, during dinner and once, 10 minutes before closing. Service - O.K. The next time I come, I do want to try their tantan men and potato mochi. Located across the street from Haymarket, Wagaya is a japanese restaurant with both sushi train + tapas-style japanese food. Guests are seated at least 10 feet apart. With the crazy wait times, we expected to take be completely blown away by the flavors. Our fave ramen & appetizer place. The atmosphere was cool but the sitting arrangement was strange, the seats were half in the ground half above.. sounds weird? it also provides you updates to the status of your order and total costs of your meal at that point in time. Cold chewy noodles, perfect for summer.Chicken Meatball ($6.50)Spicy chicken karaage ($8.80) - no need to pay extra for the spicy. I was underwhelmed with the broth spice to be honest but I didn't know you could ask them to make it spicier. Hier werdet ihr toll Preise bezahlen. Very surprised at how this place has deteriorated food was very average, it was dirty, you could have a glass of white wine as long as it was chardonay! I had the sashimi and udon teishoku and also got the tofu salad. At Wagaya,  you can custom make the characteristics of your ramen bowl- noodle thickness, noodle quantity, saltiness of the broth, heat in your ramen. I mean, it was fine and I really appreciate that they have an actual vegetarian-broth ramen on the menu. You can also pay by scanning the check with your smart phone. not sure how this would do with a couple, but it is lots and lots of fun with a group of friends. Their ramen dishes are very filling, as each comes with choi sum, a soft-boiled egg, garlic, mushrooms, sesame seeds, char siu, and a nori square. Avoid!
